When Someone Dies
For people who are already participants in the donation project please use the contact information at the end of the consent form to call your donation centre. The contact information for each brain bank centre is given in the About Us page.
If you are interested in donating the brain of a relative who has just died, but was not registered with the project, please telephone the Brain Bank at the Institute of Psychiatry on 020 7848 0290 during office hours. Outside office hours please telephone 020 7848 0002 and ask for the brain bank staff to be contacted. Please leave your name, message and telephone number where you can be reached.
Brain donation does not delay funeral arrangements, so please continue with your plans and we will fit in with you.
